DeEP Cleaning Checklist
Deep cleaning is important because it helps to remove hidden dirt and grime that standard cleaning may not reach. This can improve the overall cleanliness of a space and make it feel fresher and more inviting. Deep cleaning can also help to prevent the build-up of dirt and grime over time in hard to reach areas, making it easier to maintain a clean environment.
For all deep cleanings, supplies are provided by GCE.*
Appliances (e.g. fridges, ovens, microwaves etc.)
- Both the inside and outside of appliances are cleaned.
- Appliances are pulled out from the wall so we can clean underneath and around. This is especially important if you have animals as their fur tends to get sucked under and can impact how the appliance functions.
- Clean all countertop appliances
Furniture
- All furniture is pulled away from the wall, where we then wash the wall, removing any stains and streaks the furniture may have left
- We dust and wipe the sides of the furniture
- Upholstered furniture is vacuumed
- Wipe down shelves and surfaces with a disinfecting cleaner
Window and Blinds
- While a standard cleaning has a light wipe down of the windows, a deep clean involves washing them with soap and water, squeegee and a sparkling cloth.
- Blinds are dusted, which takes time as we go in between each vane to ensure an intense and proper clean.
Dusting
- Dust ceilings, light fixtures and walls
- Dust lamps, electronics and accessories
- Remove cobwebs
Floors
- Vacuum all floors, carpets, rugs and stairs
- Mop all floors
- Scrub any hard to get spots with scrub brush
Additional Items
- Wash the dishes
- Wash, scrub, and remove all marks from doors, walls, and baseboards.
- Clean & Wipe down trash cans with disinfectant
- Clean all mirrors
- Change bedsheets if sheets are provided
- Clean air vents within reach
- Clean and disinfect light switches and outlets
- Clean, organize and declutter cabinets, drawers & closets unless told otherwise.
